County Kilkenny is a county in Ireland. It is part of the South-East Region and is also located in the province of Leinster. It is named after the city of Kilkenny. The territory of the county was the core part of the ancient Irish Kingdom of Osraige which in turn was the core of the Diocese of Ossory. Kilkenny County Council is the local authority for the county.

Cemeteries of County Kilkenny Ireland are located across the county. Listed here are cemetery records that have been published online.

Kilkenny is the 16th largest of Irelandís 32 counties in area and the 21st largest in terms of population. It is the third largest of Leinsterís 12 counties in size and seventh largest in terms of population.

County Kilkenny takes its name from the city of Kilkenny. Kilkenny is the anglicised version of the Irish Cill Chainnigh, meaning Church (Cell) of Cainneach or Canice. This probably relates to the church and round tower, now St. Canice's Cathedral, which was built in honour of St. Canice.
